ABOUT THIS RIDE

What Taron is

Opened in 2016, Taron is the ride that made Klugheim a destination. Published speed is about 117 km/h over roughly 1,320 metres of track. Two LSM launches replace a chain lift. There are no inversions; the intensity is speed and laterals between rocks.

Phantasialand is a small park by acreage, which is why Taron feels so close to the theming. The canyon walls are the scenery and the constraint. Black Mamba, the park’s inverted B&M, is a different flavour if you want inversions.

Height is 130 cm. Queues here are often the park’s longest. If Taron is the reason you bought a ticket to Brühl, ride it first.

What to expect

Launches into a twisting canyon. No inversions, constant motion, very little straight track. It is a layout people re-ride.

Front row shows the rocks arriving. Rear row is stronger on the laterals. Both are the full course.
