ABOUT THIS RIDE
What Nemesis Reborn is
Nemesis opened in 1994 as a Bolliger & Mabillard inverted coaster and was rebuilt and reopened in 2024 as Nemesis Reborn. The published top speed is about 80 km/h. Height is modest compared with a giga coaster — around 13 metres — because the ride was designed to stay in a trench, not to dominate the skyline.
That trench is the whole identity of the ride. The track weaves through fake rockwork and real woodland in Forbidden Valley, so the ground and the trees stay close to the trains. After the 2024 work the layout is the same idea with refreshed theming, track and trains.
If you are choosing between Nemesis Reborn, The Smiler and Wicker Man, this is the one that feels closest to the ground. The POV on this page shows how little open sky there is once the train leaves the station.
What to expect
Four inversions, including a corkscrew and zero-g roll, come with strong lateral forces because the track is so tightly dressed into the pit. It is intense without being tall.
Queues here are often among the park’s longest on peak days. If Nemesis Reborn is the reason for the visit, ride it early or late rather than in the middle of the afternoon.
