ABOUT THIS RIDE

What Fury 325 is

Opened in 2015, Fury 325 is one of the tallest giga coasters in the world. Published speed is 153 km/h over about 2,012 metres of track. The layout is a huge first drop, then a long, fast course with a sea-serpent roll-style overbank and a wide turnaround — still no inversions.

Carowinds sits on the state line; the coaster is part of the park’s identity in the same way Millennium Force is for Cedar Point. Intimidator is the park’s other B&M hyper if you want a second airtime ride.

Height is 137 cm (54 in). Watch the POV for the first drop — that is the whole sales pitch.

What to expect

A 325-foot drop (the name), then a long giga layout. Trains are B&M hyper trains. It is about speed and airtime, not inversions.

Front row is the view of the drop. Back row is stronger. Both are a long ride.
