ABOUT THIS RIDE

What Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is

Intamin opened Hagrid’s in 2019 in Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure. Published speed is about 80 km/h. The layout is long for a family coaster: several launches, a spike, indoor scenes with creatures, and a track that stays in the trees instead of on a bare steel plot.

You choose a motorbike (higher, more exposed) or a sidecar (lower, slightly more sheltered). Both follow the same track. The 122 cm minimum is the usual Universal “family thrill” line — lower than VelociCoaster, higher than Flight of the Hippogriff.

It is one of the park’s operational bottlenecks. If this is a must-do, treat it like a morning or paid-queue decision, not something you will wander onto at 3 pm.

What to expect

Launches come in bursts between creature scenes. There are no inversions. The free-fall spike is the strongest single moment if you are worried about intensity.

Motorbike seats feel more like a launch coaster. Sidecars are the better pick if someone wants the layout with a little less exposure.
