ABOUT THIS RIDE

What Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is

Opened in 2014, this Vekoma / Imagineering coaster is the headliner of the Snow White corner of Fantasyland. Published speed is about 55 km/h. The trains pivot through turns, which is the gimmick, then enter a mine scene with dwarfs at work before a second outdoor section.

The 97 cm minimum is why it queues like a table-top attraction. It is often the longest wait in Fantasyland. If you are visiting with children who will not meet Space Mountain’s 112 cm, this is the coaster that is actually on the table.

Adults ride it too, but it is not Magic Kingdom’s thrill coaster. That is TRON. Come here for the theming and a gentle first drop, not for inversions.

What to expect

The indoor mine scene is the unique part. The outdoor drops are modest. Cars swaying on the chassis is noticeable in the curves if you are looking for it.

Early morning or evening is the practical advice. Midday standby here is a poor use of a park day if the group also wants Pirates, Haunted Mansion and TRON.
