ABOUT THIS RIDE

What TRON Lightcycle / Run is

Magic Kingdom’s TRON opened in 2023, after the Shanghai original. Published speed is about 95 km/h. Riders sit astride light-cycle-style vehicles, which is why the height and health rules are stricter than Space Mountain’s.

Part of the launch is outdoors under the white canopy you can see from the hub. The rest of the ride is indoors. That canopy is now one of the park’s landmarks, so even guests who do not ride will photograph it.

It is a short, intense launch rather than a long story ride. If you want Pirates or Haunted Mansion, those are different pages. If you want Magic Kingdom’s fastest coaster, this is the one.

What to expect

The ride vehicles lean you forward over a motorcycle saddle. That position is the make-or-break detail — watch the POV and read the official health guidance if you have back, neck or mobility concerns.

Queues have been long since opening. Lightning Lane and early park entry, when you have them, are the realistic ways to ride without a two-hour standby.
