ABOUT THIS RIDE

What Stealth is

Opened in 2006, Stealth is an Intamin accelerator. Published speed is 129 km/h. The layout is simple on purpose — launch, top-hat, brakes — which is why the ride is over in seconds and why the queue can feel out of proportion on busy days.

It sits in a visible part of the park, so you will see the spike long before you ride. That is useful: if a 62.5-metre beyond-vertical spike is a no, you can skip it without waiting.

Hyperia has taken some of the “tallest in the park” conversation, but Stealth is still the launch people compare with Rita at Alton Towers. Different parks, same question: do you want a sudden 0–80 mph hit?

What to expect

The launch is the whole ride. After the top-hat the train is already heading for the brakes. There are no inversions and almost no layout after the spike.

Front row shows the tower arriving. Rear row adds a little extra whip over the hat. Neither row makes it a long ride.
